Fireline’s Charity Walk: 13 Miles of Determination, Sun & Success

On Saturday, 21 June 2025, Team Fireline laced up their trainers and embarked on an ambitious 13‑mile round trip from Hengistbury Head to Bournemouth Pier and back, all in blazing summer heat. But their mission was bigger than the miles: they were raising funds in support of Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal, bringing smiles to children and families who need a break.
Sweltering Conditions? No Problem
Our team faced temperatures well above seasonal norm—but nothing could cool their spirits. With every step, they pushed through:
-
Intense sunshine on coastal paths
-
A breeze off the sea that offered brief respite (and very welcome)
By the time the pier came into view, cheers—and cold drinks—were ready and waiting.
Community, Sponsors & Smiles
This challenge wasn’t just about endurance. It was about community:
-
Supporters along the route cheered, handed over bottles of water, and made sure the team had energy to spare.
-
Local businesses stepped in with snacks, first‑aid kits, and encouragement.
-
And most importantly, our walkers — from seasoned pros to first‑timers — banded together under a shared purpose.
Raising The Bar (and Funds!)
The goal was ambitious, but Fireline’s ambition was bigger: to help Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal reach more beneficiaries. Every pound raised will go toward providing much‑needed holidays to children facing difficult circumstances. The real wins? Priceless:
-
Strengthened team bonds
-
Raised community awareness
-
Excited donors to show their support
What’s Next?
- More charity events: This walk may be over, but Fireline’s commitment continues. Upcoming events are coming!
