TRAINING FOR THE COMPETENT PERSON

Who is it for?

Our training for the competent person course is designed for persons that hold the responsibility of completing the fire safety checks in your premises.

What will you learn?

In this training course, you will get to know what your role is as the competent person and what fire safety checks you are responsible for. This course covers everything from the law to fire safety equipment and fire safety procedures.

The course is carried out in 2 sections:

  • Section 1: Maintenance
    • Legislation
    • Role of the competent person
    • Fire protection equipment
    • Weekly/monthly tests
  • Section 2: Fire Awareness
    • The classes of fire
    • Practical session
    • Q&A session

The course is presented in an easy to digest and clear way by our experienced and qualified technicians. At the end of the training, you will receive a A5 Fire Log Book which includes all the information you will have learnt during the course.

Duration & location

The course is approximately 2 hours long but may run longer depending on the practical session and Q&A session at the end. (If you are restricted on time, let us know when you sign up so that we can be mindful of this.)

Our training sessions are typically held at our site in Blandford or at our other training venues in Basingstoke and Horley. The training can also be held at your premises for up to 12 persons per session, where we can highlight the fire precautions located on site and adapt our presentation to suit the premises.

When?
